Local Hero Tim Watson To Throw Out Ceremonial First Pitch Friday

Who/What:  

On Friday, June 19, the San Jose Giants will host their annual Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office Night at Municipal Stadium. As part of the pregame ceremonies, VTA bus driver and local hero Tim Watson will be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to honor his heroic actions in aiding Milpitas Police in identifying and stopping an in-progress abduction of a three-year-old child on his bus. Watson will fly into Municipal Stadium via the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office Helicopter Star 1 before throwing out the first pitch. He will also be joined at the game by his wife and children.
