Durham Takes on Columbus Tonight

Bulls look to even the four-game set
June 19, 2015

The Durham Bulls (39-29) play game two of a four-game set against the Columbus Clippers (36-32) Friday night at the DBAP at 7:05. Following the contest will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by Bruce Hill of RE/MAX One Realty.

After dropping last night's rain shortened contest 7-1, the Bulls send LHP Scott Diamond (7-2, 3.04) to the mound tonight. The southpaw has won each of his last three starts, and is unbeaten over his last five outings. With a win tonight Diamond would become the first eight-game winner in the IL this season.

Going for the Clippers is LHP Nick Maronde (0-7, 5.59), who ranks T-2nd in the IL with seven losses this season. His last three outings have all come out of the bullpen, as just nine of his 13 appearances this season have come as a starter.

At the plate Durham utility man Taylor Motter has hit safely in 14 straight games and reached base in 26 straight, while OF Corey Brown has hit safely in six straight contests.

Tickets for tonight's game can be purchased here, or by calling 919.956.BULL.
