Bulls, Mud Hens Open Three-Game Set Tonight
The Durham Bulls (39-32) open up a three-game set against the Toledo Mud Hens (31-40) Tuesday night at the DBAP at 7:05. Tonight is the first Food Truck Fest of the season.
The Bulls have lost five straight games, and turn to LHP Everett Teaford (4-5, 5.63) to stop the losing skid. The southpaw has allowed just one earned run over his last two starts, spanning 12.0 innings, and surrendered just eight hits in that span.
On the bump for Toledo is RHP Buck Farmer (6-2, 3.56), who ranks fifth among IL starting pitchers with a 7.77 K/9 ratio. After opening the year 5-1 with a 2.78 ERA, the 24-year-old has allowed nine earned runs over his last two starts. On the season he's just 2-2 with a 4.06 ERA on the road, compared to a 4-0 mark with a 2.93 ERA at home.
Offensively Durham looks to turn things around, as the team plated just eight runs over its four-game series against Columbus, and has been held to two runs or fewer in four of its last five games.
