Beanie Wells to Attend "Ohio Night" At Classic Park on July 2

Former Ohio State and professional football star Chris "Beanie" Wells will be in attendance for the Captains "Ohio Night" on July 2. Wells played three seasons at Ohio State and rushed for over 3,300 yards. Wells scored a total of 30 touchdowns in his collegiate career. Wells was a first round draft selection in 2009. Wells played four seasons in professional football and scored 24 touchdowns.

The Ohio State University Alumni Band of Greater Cleveland will also be in attendance. The band will perform traditional Ohio State music during the game for all in attendance.   

The Captains will also be wearing Scarlet and Grey themed jerseys for Ohio Night. Fans will have a chance to bid on the game-worn jerseys on both Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3. The proceeds of the jersey auction will benefit Captains Charities. Fans who purchase tickets using the promo code BEANIE will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win an autographed Beanie Wells Jersey. Tickets will be just $9.

The Captains will be taking on the Lansing Lugnuts at 7:00 PM. Thursday is the first game of a four-game split-series between the clubs for the Fourth of July weekend.
