Frawley Stadium Celebrates Dog Days of Summer During Upcoming Home Stand

WILMINGTON, Del. - With a first-half Carolina League Northern Division title under their belts, the Blue Rocks return to Frawley Stadium to begin the second half with three games against the Potomac Nationals. The three-game home stand will be packed to the brim with fantastic giveaways and promotions, including the Blue Crew's "Dog Days of Summer" event, presented by Concord Pet Food and Supplies. The festivities will take place on the final day of the home stand, Saturday, June 27. Fans can bring their favorite canine companions to the park and enjoy a day filled with animal-friendly fun. Gates will open at a special time of 4:00 p.m.

"For 34 years Concord Pet has supported the community and when we did our first Dog Days with the Blue Rocks 19 years ago it was an instant success!" said Lindsay Mutschler of Concord Pet Foods and Supplies. "It gives people the opportunity to share a great time at the ballpark with their furry best friend! We appreciate the partnership we have with the Blue Rocks each year and look forward to many more."

The gates to Frawley Stadium will open at 4:00 p.m., so the fans can enjoy the annual pet fair. Fans will have a chance to check out numerous dog-themed items throughout the concourse. Concord Pet Foods and Supplies will have tables set up all across the stadium, with each stand offering something that dogs and dog owners alike will love. Fans will need to present their tickets at the entrance gates to access most of the vendors and displays this year.

Prior to the start of the game, attractions such as "Best Dressed Dog" and "Dog Tricks" demonstrations will be held on the field in front of the first base dugout.

The Blue Rocks will also be giving away team hats courtesy of Concord Pet and Purina. Be one of the first 1,000 fans at the ballpark on Saturday to receive a Wilmington Blue Rocks cap. Hat distribution begins when gates open at 4 p.m. The Rocks will cap off the evening with the Saturday night Launch-To-Bowls promotion immediately following the game.
