Loons, Michigan Blood Host July 3 Blood Drive
MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons and Michigan Blood have teamed up to help save lives as a part of the Love Michigan Blood Drive.
From noon to 6 p.m. on July 3, potential donors are welcome to visit the Dow Diamond Donation Center in Midland to attempt to donate blood. A free vintage "The Mitten State" t-shirt will be given to everyone who attempts to donate. The first 20 people who attempt to donate will also receive a pair of Loons tickets that can be used at any future game during the 2015 season.
"We're happy to partner with Michigan Blood once again to help support their efforts in the state of Michigan," said Loons vice president and general manager Scott Litle. "We always ask our staff and encourage our fans to give back to the community and this offers them an opportunity to do that."
While at the donation center, potential donors will also be able to register to win a Loons prize package.
The annual Love Michigan blood drives see Michigan Blood donor centers across the state have expanded hours from July 1-4. The Dow Diamond Donation Center will also be open at the following times that week:
July 2 - 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
July 4 - 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
