Dillon Maples Called Up

EUGENE, OR - The Eugene Emeralds and South Bend Cubs are happy to announce the promotion of RHP Dillon Maples! Maples threw 5 innings for the Emeralds this year, striking out 8 batters while walking just 1. In his last appearance, Maples threw 2 innings and struck out 3, allowing just 1 unearned run to score in a 7-1 Emeralds victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils. We wish Dillon the best of luck on his next step of his career!

In a related move, we would also like to welcome RHP Francisco Carrillo to Eugene! Carrillo will be called up from the Arizona League and is in uniform for Saturday night's game. In Carrillo's last appearance with the Arizona Cubs, he worked 2 innings, earning his first win of the season!
