Fins up on Walleye Hockey Night Friday, August 14
While Toledo's 'Boys of Summer' are hard at work, the Mud Hens will be teaming up with BCSN to celebrate two months until the start of the upcoming T-Town Hockey season, as Walleye Hockey Night at Fifth Third Field is set for Friday, August 14!
Get to the ballpark early to watch Walleye Head Coach Derek Lalonde throw out the ceremonial first pitch along with Associate Head Coach Dan Watson. Fans coming out to the ballpark that evening will see all of the T-Town Hockey favorites, including the Zamboni Race, Puck Shuffle, Fins Up Cam, and even a special postgame Chuck-a-Puck contest!
The Walleye will be looking to build off a season in which the team won the ECHL's regular season championship, shattered 44 team or individual records, and set a new Toledo hockey single season attendance record!
During Walleye Night at the Mud Hens ballpark, there will be a number of unique items up for grabs during a charity raffle. Used skates, autographed sticks and other cool hockey memorabilia will be taken home by lucky winners. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, Look for our raffle table on the main concourse.
Raffle proceeds will go to the family of former Walleye player Dane Walters, to help with funeral expenses for his sister, Jaime Sue Walters, who died suddenly on July 31.
