River Cats Announce Independence Eve Sellout

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats are excited to announce that the game Friday, July 3rd against the visiting Salt Lake Bees is on pace to sell out. Value corner tickets for tomorrow's game will be held until tomorrow morning and will be available for purchase tomorrow at 10:00 am. Featured tomorrow night are the River Cats' Patriotic specialty jerseys and Independence Day-themed postgame fireworks.

The River Cats will take the field in red, white, and blue Patriotic jerseys inspired by the original Betsy Ross flag. These game-worn jerseys will be autographed by the players and auctioned off during the game. Proceeds from the auction will benefit American Homeless Veterans.

In preparation for the large crowd expected, there are a number of changes to the regular schedule leading up to Friday's first pitch. Parking will open at 4:00 p.m. and gates to Raley Field will open at 5:00 p.m. instead of the usual 6:00 p.m. for a 7:05 p.m. start.

Fans who were unable to purchase tickets for Friday's Independence Day Eve celebration can still pick up a ticket for Saturday's Fourth on the Field at Raley Field. Presented by the University of San Francisco, Sacramento Campus, Fourth on the Field features live music, food trucks, and a fireworks extravaganza, all of which can be enjoyed from the outfield grass at Raley Field.

Fourth on the Field, which goes from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., was highlighted as one of the reasons that Sacramento was recently ranked as the 19th best city in the country to celebrate the Fourth of July.

Special Considerations for Friday, July 3

Early Parking: Parking will open at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon

Early Gates: Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., one hour earlier than normally scheduled.
