River Cats Take Third Straight

SALT LAKE CITY (July 2) - The Sacramento River Cats recorded their third consecutive win over Salt Lake, as they routed the Bees 10-3 on Thursday night. Sacramento took control early in the game, as they scored four runs in the second inning, two of those were unearned, and four more in the third, one unearned, to take an 8-0 lead. The Bees did get on the board in the fourth on an RBI single by Grant Green and a sacrifice fly by Alex Yarbrough and added one more in the fifth on a run scoring fielder's choice by Kyle Kubitza.
 
Adam Wilk (3-6) took the loss, as he went four innings and allowed ten runs, seven earned, on eleven hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Relievers Steven Hensley and Cam Bedrosian each tossed two scoreless innings. Alfredo Marte and Charlie Cutler each delivered three hits to lead the Bees' hit attack. Green added two hits and one run batted for Salt Lake, which has dropped the first three games of the series.
