RiverDogs Offer Fans Chance to Watch Batting Practice from the Field

Registered fans can watch RiverDogs batting practice for FREE prior to home games

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Have you ever wanted a first-hand, field-level look at your favorite baseball team during batting practice? Well, now is your chance!

The Charleston RiverDogs have announced a new promotion that will allow fans the opportunity to watch the RiverDogs take batting practice from the field before games at The Joe. The program is FREE for those that already have a ticket to the game and will begin prior to the RiverDogs' tilt against the Rome Braves on Monday, July 6.

Fans that opt to participate in this special event will be allowed in a designated area on the field for a 45-minute period. The schedule is as follows:

  • Monday-Friday games (7:05 p.m. start) - 4:15-5 p.m.
  • Saturday games (6:05 p.m. start) - 3:15-4 p.m.
  • Sunday games (5:05 p.m. start) - 2:15-3 p.m.

Batting practice is held at the discretion of the team, Mother Nature and other conditions out of the RiverDogs' control. In the event that batting practice is cancelled or does not take place, the RiverDogs will notify those registered.

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to the first 15 people. Fans who would like to register or get more information should email [email protected].
