Summer Fun Continues At AutoZone Park

Cross-State Rival Nashville Visits Bluff City For Five Games

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds return to the Bluff City tonight to open a five-game homestand against the cross-state rival Nashville Sounds (Triple-A Athletics) at AutoZone Park

Thursday, July 9 vs. Nashville Sounds at 5:05 p.m. - Doubleheader (gates open at 4:00 p.m.)

  • Tennessee Lottery I-40 Cup Series: The Redbirds and cross-state rival Nashville Sounds face off for the coveted Tennessee Lottery I-40 Cup, presented by the Tennessee Lottery. The 16-game season series is currently tied at 3-3.
  • Doubleheader: The Redbirds and Sounds will play a doubleheader consisting of a pair of seven-inning games. 
  • College Night: Every Thursday home game, college students can purchase $5 Left Field TruGreen Bluff tickets at the box office on gamedays (with a valid college ID). $2 domestic drafts will be available for purchase at the Left Field Bar throughout the doubleheader.
  • RBI Night: Hundreds of kids from the Memphis Redbirds' RBI program will enjoy an evening of food and fun at AutoZone Park while being honored during a pregame picnic.

Friday, July 10 vs. Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Block Party: Every Friday, come out to AutoZone Park and enjoy not only a great baseball game but also a fun pregame Block Party. Gates open at 5:00 p.m., two hours before first pitch, for a special end-of-the-week Block Party featuring select $2 domestic drafts and live music from the School of Rock Memphis.
  • MLBPAA Silent Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a silent auction behind home plate on the concourse that includes autographed memorabilia from current and former players.

Saturday, July 11 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 6:05 p.m. (gates open at 5:00 p.m.)

  • Postgame Fireworks: A spectacular fireworks extravaganza with music from the 90's will follow the game, presented by Tennessee Lottery.
  • Fredbird Appearance: St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird will be invading Memphis to entertain fans and sign autographs at AutoZone Park.
  • Baby Races: The fastest babies in town will race pregame at AutoZone Park during the fourth of five Baby Races this season, presented by Fertility Associates of Memphis.
  • MLBPAA Silent Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a silent auction behind home plate on the concourse that includes autographed memorabilia from current and former players.

Sunday, July 12 vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 1:35 p.m. (gates open at 12:30 p.m.)

  • Sunglass Sunday: Stay cool on Sunglass Sunday! Fans who purchase this special themed ticket will receive a limited edition pair of St. Louis Cardinals sunglasses with Croakies. Theme tickets are priced at just $19 for Dugout and $16 for Field Box seats.
  • Rockey's Birthday Party: Help the Redbirds celebrate the birthday of the Best Bird in Baseball - Rockey the Redbird! His mascot friends from around the Mid-South will be at AutoZone Park to help celebrate the big day.
  • Fredbird Appearance: St. Louis Cardinals mascot Fredbird will be invading Memphis to entertain fans and sign autographs at AutoZone Park.
  • Faith and Family Day: Churches and local worship centers are encouraged to come out for the second and final Faith & Family game this season at AutoZone Park. Gateway Worship Band will be performing a pregame concert in the AutoZone Park Plaza.
  • Prairie Farms Ice Cream Sunday: The first 2,500 kids ages 12 and under will receive a free ice cream treat before the game, courtesy of Prairie Farms Dairy.
  • Kids Run the Bases: Kids ages 12 and under get to take the field and run like the Redbirds following the game.
  • MLBPAA Silent Auction: The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association will be hosting a silent auction behind home plate on the concourse that includes autographed memorabilia from current and former players.
  • Burger King Whopper Promotion: Upon exiting the ballpark, Redbirds fans in attendance will receive a coupon for a free Whopper with the purchase of a medium french fries and drink, courtesy of Burger King.

Following the homestand, Memphis will break for three days for the Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 15 at Werner Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Pitchers Sam Tuivailala and Tim Cooney will represent the Redbirds on the 30-man squad that takes on the International League All-Stars on MLB Networks and Sports 56 WHBQ at 7pm. Summer fun continues at AutoZone Park on Friday, July 24 as the Redbirds open an eight-game homestand.
