Donut Tread On Us
LAKE ELSINORE, CA - The scene: Wolfee's Donuts in Lake Elsinore. The crime: an unpatriotic tonguing of perfectly good donuts by pop superstar Ariana Grande.
In light of recent events within the community, the Lake Elsinore Storm will stand in support of Wolfee's Donuts on Wednesday, July 15 at The Diamond.
The first 1,000 through the gates will receive an unlicked donut courtesy of Wolfee's Donuts, and anyone who brings in a Wolfee's Donuts receipt will get a ticket for $5
Fans are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in support of our nation, and those who do will also receive a $5 ticket to the game. Ariana Grande merchandise (CDs, clothes, posters, etc.) can be donated for the $5 ticket as well.
"We wanted to show support for Wolfee's Donuts, America and the local community," Storm General Manager Raj Narayanan said about the night. "We want to 'Break Free' of Ariana Grande at the ballpark."
Wolfee's Donuts will be on hand to premiere their newest donut creation.
The night will also include:
- A donut-licking contest
- Donut ring toss
- Specials on donuts in the concession stands
- A salute to Demi Lovato (who is replacing Ms. Grande as the headliner at the MLB All-Star Game next week)
"I now have 'One Less Problem' without her in my music library," Storm mascot Thunder said via e-mail. "I will no longer 'Bang-Bang' on my trash can nor order any Grande coffees."
Free unlimited hot dogs with every ticket purchased and wine specials throughout the ballpark will be available for all as part of our Wacky Weenie Wednesday.
