Snow globe giveaway and Ryan Klesko appearance highlight next homestand

Mudcats themed snow globes will be given away on July 18

ZEBULON, NC - The Carolina Mudcats return to action at Five County Stadium on Wednesday, July 15 with game one of a seven game homestand against the Winston-Salem Dash and Wilmington Blue Rocks. The homestand will feature an appearance by former Atlanta Braves player Ryan Klesko, a competitive eating challenge, post-game fireworks, a snow globe giveaway and an appearance by the SweetRight Brothers.

The homestand begins on Wednesday, July 15 with first game of a four game series with the second half leading Winston-Salem Dash. Wednesday night's game is Weiner Wednesday presented by Carolina Packers and will feature a competitive eating challenge during the game.

Game two lands on Thirsty Thursday, July 16 and will have a special Mardi Gras theme. Thursday's game will also feature former Atlanta Braves player Ryan Klesko who will be available to fans for pictures and autographs. Klesko made his big league debut as a 21-year-old with the Braves in 1992 and remained with Atlanta through the 1999 season before being traded to the San Diego Padres. Klesko was an All-Star with the Padres in 2001 and hit a career high 30 home runs that season with San Diego.

The series with the Dash continues with the Mudcats and FWB Children's Home in Middlesex, N.C. teaming up for the 12th annual paper product drive on Friday, July 17. Paper products will be collected before and during the game and the resulting proceeds will benefit the FWB Children's Home. The game will also be followed Friday Night Fireworks at Five County Stadium.

The Mudcats and Dash wrap up their four game series on Saturday, July 18 with a Christmas in July promotion and a Mudcats themed snow globe giveaway. The snow globe will be given away to the first 1,200 kids ages 14 and under through the Five County Stadium gates.

The homestand continues with game one of a three game series between the Mudcats and Wilmington Blue Rocks on Sunday, July 19. Sunday's game will feature post-game fireworks and a special in-game show from the nationally recognized SweetRight Brothers mascot entertainment team.

The homestand concludes on Tuesday, July 21 with a 10:30 a.m. start time for Summer Camp and Super Splash day against the Blue Rocks.

Premium Field Level seats are $12.00, Box Seats are $10.00 and Cattail Skybox Seats are $15.00. Flex plans, group tickets and the "Muddy Unreal Deal" plan are also currently available for purchase.

The Carolina Mudcats are the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The 2015 "Braves New World" season is the first for the Mudcats as an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and their fourth straight in the historic Carolina League. First established in 1991, the Carolina Mudcats are in their 25th straight season of baseball at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C.
