Schebler Leads Dodgers to 7-6 Walk-Off Win

Outfielder's RBI double in the bottom of the 12th inning secured Oklahoma City's eighth walk-off win of season

Oklahoma City - Scott Schebler hit a RBI double into the right field corner to secure a 7-6 walk-off win for the Oklahoma City Dodgers in the 12th inning against the Round Rock Express Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The win gave the Dodgers a 3-1 series win against the Express in front of a sellout crowd of 9,112. Sunday marked the Dodgers' third consecutive sellout as Oklahoma City improved its league-leading record to 59-33.

In the bottom of the 12th inning, Darnell Sweeney and Darwin Barney hit back-to-back one-out singles to put runners at first and second base for Schebler. Schebler then hit a line drive to right to bring home Sweeney for the win.

Sunday marked the eighth walk-off win of the season for Oklahoma City, and the second of the season by Schebler.

Round Rock (53-40) took a 1-0 lead in the third inning.

Beamer Weems led off with a double then scored when Ryan Strausborger hit the ball toward third baseman Buck Britton who was unable to field the ball cleanly and was charged with an error on the play.

In the fourth inning, Michael Choice hit a two-run home run over the LED board in left center field to extend the Express to a 3-0 lead.

The Dodgers loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth inning. Schebler was hit by a pitch. Chris Heisey drew a walk and O'Koyea Dickson singled to third - all with one out. Kyle Jensen then hit into a fielder's choice and Schebler scored to cut Round Rock's lead to 3-1.

Hanser Alberto hit a RBI single in the top of the fifth inning to give Round Rock a 4-1 advantage.

The Express threatened to add to their lead in the top of the sixth inning. Dodgers reliever Yimi Garcia entered the game to pitch with two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning and he got Edwin Garcia to strike out to end the inning.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Jensen hit a high fly ball off the wall in left field for a two-run triple to cut Round Rock's lead to 4-3. A RBI single by Britton brought home Jensen to knot the game, 4-4.

Round Rock's Jared Hoying entered the game to pinch hit in the eighth inning and hit the first pitch he saw off the fence along the front of the upper deck in right field for a two-run home run and 6-4 Express advantage.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shawn Zarraga hit a two-run homer onto the Budweiser Deck in left field to tie the game, 6-6, in his team debut.

Dodgers reliever Danny Coulombe (2-0) pitched a scoreless top of the 12th inning and allowed one hit, one walk and recorded one strikeout in the win.

Round Rock reliever Roman Mendez (1-1) was charged with the loss.

Schebler, Jensen and Zarraga each collected two hits for Oklahoma City. Jensen drove in a game-high three runs as the Express outhit the Dodgers, 12-11.

Sunday marked Oklahoma City's last home game until Aug. 1. The Dodgers open a 13-game road trip at 7:05 p.m. Monday against the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park in Papillion, Neb.
