Garrett Cooper Named FSL Player of the Week
Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Florida State League announced today that Brevard County first baseman Garrett Cooper was named the FSL Player of the Week for the period of July 13-July 19, 2015.
Cooper played in six games and collected 11 hits in 23 at-bats, good for a .478 batting average. He had two doubles, two homers and 7 RBI. Cooper scored four times and posted an .826 slugging percentage. Cooper is in his third year in the organization. He was selected in the sixth round of the 2013 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Auburn University. Cooper resides in Manhattan Beach, California.
Cooper is batting .284 on the season with four home runs and 43 RBI in 90 games.
