Tyler Horan Named California League Offensive Player of the Week

SAN JOSE, CA- San Jose Giants outfielder Tyler Horan has been named California League Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending on July 19. Horan homered in three straight games from Thursday to Saturday at Municipal Stadium and drove in at least one run in each of his first five games last week. His four home runs in 13 games in July give him a team leading 10 overall.

Horan was the San Francisco Giants eighth round draft pick in 2013. While splitting time between Augusta and San Jose in 2014, he slugged 25 home runs with an .879 OPS.

Horan becomes the fourth San Jose Giant to be named Player of the Week in 2015:

June 15 - June 21: RHP Martin Agosta

June 29 - July 5: SS Christian Arroyo

July 6 - July 12: RHP Chase Johnson

July 13 - July 19: OF Tyler Horan
