Firefighter Jersey to be Worn, Auctioned July 30
MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats have announced a specialty jersey auction set to take place on July 30. The 2015 firefighter jerseys will be worn by the team, and then autographed and auctioned off to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The jerseys will be worn on July 30 as the Fisher Cats partner with Manchester Fire Department-Local 856 to host Firefighter Appreciation Night. The specialty jersey resembles a red firefighter's jacket, complete with an oxygen tank on the back. After the game, the jerseys will be autographed and awarded to the highest bidders of the in-game silent auction. During the game against the Reading Fightin Phils, there will also be firefighter themed promotions, including dress like a firefighter, and a charitable boot pass.
Bidding for the jersey will begin at $100 starting at 5:30 p.m. and concluding at the end of the 6th inning on the night of July 30. Fans can also contribute to the MDA by purchasing premium or box seats tickets using the online code "MDA." A portion of each ticket sold using the code will be donated. To learn more about MDA and its mission, please visit www.mda.org.
In addition to celebrating firefighters, it's also Christmas in July. The Fisher Cats will give away $1,000 in hot dog wrappers. Fans who purchase hot dogs could win $1, $5, $10, or $50 cash, or tickets to a future Fisher Cats game.
Before the game, Rock 101 DJ Furious will spin tunes and handout prizes in the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill. Fans 21+ can also enjoy $1 off drafts until game time. Following the game there will be a spectacular Atlas Fireworks show.
The Fisher Cats return to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium tonight as they open a seven-game homestand against Harrisburg and Reading. Tonight's game will celebrate the team's four millionth fan with an extravagant prize pack when the lucky fan enters the gates. Tickets are available for the homestand and for the specialty jersey game by visiting www.nhfishercats.com, by stopping by the box office at the stadium, or by calling (603) 641-2005.
