Bats unveil 2007 schedule

Louisville to open next season against defending champion Toledo

The Louisville Bats will open their 2007 season on Thursday, April 5 against the defending International League champion Toledo Mud Hens, Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, at 7:05 p.m.

The Bats will again play 72 home games at Louisville Slugger Field. The Bats have 11 Saturday home games scheduled, including Thunder over Louisville, April 21. Louisville also has home games on Independence Day Eve (July 3 vs. Indianapolis), Labor Day (September 3 vs. Indianapolis) and Mother's Day (May 13 vs. Syracuse).

The home schedule includes 13 games in April, 12 games in May, 17 games in June, 17 games in July, 11 games in August and two games in September.

Louisville will begin all weekday games (Monday-Friday) during the 2007 season at five minutes past the hour while weekend games (Saturday and Sunday) will start at 15 minutes past the hour.

The 2007 season will mark the eighth season as the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, as well as the eighth season of play at Louisville Slugger Field. Louisville Slugger Field will celebrate its five millionth fan through the gates during the 2007 season.
