Corey Brown Called Up To Sacramento, Mitchell Returns

August 31, 2010
Corey Brown was called up to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday night following the RockHounds win in Frisco. Jermaine Mitchell will return to the RockHounds from Stockton.

Brown, in his second season with the RockHounds, led the team in batting average, slugging and on base percentage. A day removed from being named to the 2010 Texas League Post Season All-Star team, Brown will jump back up to Triple-A after spending a portion of May with the Rivercats.

After struggling to start the year, Jermaine Mitchell was reassigned to Single-A Stockton in June. Mitchell was a steady force in the Ports lineup, as he hit .309 with 10 home runs and 21 stolen bases. Mitchell will join the team in San Antonio as the RockHounds and Missions fight for the final playoff spot in the South Division.

Game time is 7:05 from Nelson Wolf Stadium on Tuesday and can be heard on the flagship station of the RockHounds... MyCountry 96.1.
