Jake Goebbert's seventh-inning RBI single broke a 12-12 tie and helped the El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Albuquerque Isotopes 13-12 Thursday night at Isotopes Park. Goebbert finished 3-for-6 with three RBIs, falling a double shy of a cycle. The wild game was tied 7-7 at the end of three innings and 10-10 in the fifth inning.
Former Major League all-star Jair Jurrjens entered the game with a 2-0 record against El Paso, having allowed just two runs in 10 previous innings versus the Chihuahuas, but El Paso's offense sent him from the game after four innings, allowing six earned runs on nine hits. There were seven combined home runs in the game, including Cody Decker's 20th of the season, his fourth career season with 20 or more homers.
Rymer Liriano went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three doubles to tie the Chihuahuas' team record for doubles in a game. The two teams combined for 32 hits, including 17 extra-base hits.
