Modesto Nuts Break Franchise Attendance Record
This marks the fourth consecutive season that the Modesto Nuts have set a new franchise attendance record. The streak began in 2007 when the Nuts broke their previous record on the final day of the season. The 2007 record was 158,936 (70 games). In 2008, the Nuts broke the record on the second to last day of the season and increased the mark to 164,306 (70 games). Last year, the Nuts again broke the record on the second to last day of the season and ended with an attendance of 167,722 (69 games). The current mark has been set in just 63 openings. With four games remaining in the regular season, the record will continue to climb.
"We would like to thank the entire Modesto community for the continued support of Modesto Nuts Professional Baseball," said Mike Gorrasi, vice-president of the Modesto Nuts. "The attendance record is a direct reflection of the support of the community and the hard work and dedication of the entire front office staff."
The Nuts regular season concludes with a four-game series against the Inland Empire 66ers. A post-game fireworks extravaganza will follow the games on Friday and Saturday. The Nuts will wrap up the regular season with back-to-back 1:05 p.m. matinees on Sunday and Monday.
