Pelicans announce postseason ticket options

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AUGUST 11, 2015) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are thrilled to announce that tickets for the 2015 Carolina League Mills Cup Playoffs are now available for purchase. A playoff package, which include tickets to all six potential home games, and single-game playoff tickets are on sale now. The Pelicans secured a spot in the postseason by winning the First Half Southern Division Championship and are guaranteed at least one home playoff game, which will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at TicketReturn.Com Field at Pelicans Ballpark.

Single-game tickets are the same price as regular season games, with tickets ranging from $9.00 - $13.00 when purchased in advance. Luxury Suites and group tickets are also available.

The Playoff Package Special is just $25.00 per seat and includes tickets to all six potential home playoff games and a pregame picnic on the guaranteed home game on Thursday, September 10. The picnic includes all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, coleslaw, baked beans, and cookies.

The game on Thursday, September 10, will also be a Thirsty Thursday with $1.00 12oz. Bud and Bud Light drafts as well as $2.00 16oz cans served from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The playoff schedule is as follows (home games in bold/underlined):

Southern Division Championship Series (SDCS)

  • Game One: Wednesday, Sept. 9 - Pelicans at Second Half Southern Division Champion**
  • Game Two: Thursday, Sept. 10 - Pelicans vs. Second Half Southern Division Champion
  • Game Three (if necessary): Friday, Sept. 11 - Pelicans vs. Second Half Southern Division Champion

**Note: Game One of the SDCS will be in Myrtle Beach should the Pelicans win the Second Half Southern Division Championship

Should the Pelicans win the Southern Division Championship Series, they will advance to the Mills Cup Championship Series (MCCS).

Mills Cup Championship Series (MCCS)

  • Game One: Saturday, Sept. 12 - Pelicans at Northern Division Championship Series Winner
  • Game Two: Sunday, Sept. 13 - Pelicans at Northern Division Championship Series Winner
  • OFF: Monday, Sept. 14
  • Game Three: Tuesday, Sept. 15 - Pelicans vs. Northern Division Championship Series Winner
  • Game Four (if necessary): Wednesday, Sept. 16 - Pelicans vs. Northern Division Championship Series Winner
  • Game Five (if necessary): Thursday, Sept. 17 - Pelicans vs. Northern Division Championship Series Winner

**Note: if Wilmington wins the Northern Division Championship Series AND the SDCS goes the full three games, the entire MCCS schedule will shift back one day.

In addition to the Pelicans, the Wilmington Blue Rocks have already secured a postseason spot. If the season were to end today, the Winston-Salem Dash and Lynchburg Hillcats, who lead the two divisions in the second half, would also be in the four-team playoff.

With a 2.5 game lead over the Pelicans in the second half Southern Division standings, the Dash would host the Pelicans in Game One of the SDCS.
