Lucky Fan Drives Away With Free Car After Clearwater Game

September 3, 2010

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Clearwater Threshers made one lucky fan a big winner on Friday evening during Used Car Giveaway Night at Bright House Field. Mike Williams became the new owner of a free 2003 Saturn LS 300 courtesy of Clearwater Toyota.

All fans 18 and over that attended the 7 p.m. contest were eligible to enter to win the new ride. After all the entries were turned in, the field was narrowed to seven lucky contestants who were given a random key car after the game. Each contestant then tried the key in the ignition and Williams wound up with the winning key.

It was the third time since moving to Bright House Field that the Threshers have given away a car, doing so the past two seasons as well. The giveaway is also part of Fan Appreciation Weekend in which the Threshers thank all fans for coming out to the ballpark and making Bright House Field an enjoyable place to attend a game.

Be sure to attend Saturday's contest at 6:30 p.m. for a chance to win many prizes including an eight-person hot tub courtesy of Rec Warehouse. Then after the season finale on Sunday, the Threshers will host a post-game party at Frenchy's Tiki Pavilion and is open to all fans.
