Packed Promotional Schedule Awaits Sky Sox Return Home

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Colorado Springs Sky Sox return to Security Service Field on Saturday, August 15 to begin an eight-game homestand with four-game sets against the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona D-backs, and Tacoma Rainiers, top affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Saturday night's series-opener is scheduled for 6:05 PM MDT against Reno with gates set to open an hour prior to at 5:00 PM.

The Sky Sox have yet another packed promotional schedule prepared for their second to last homestand of the season. The eight-game set kicks of with a wild 80's night celebration on Saturday. 80's-inspired Sox the Fox bobbleheads will be given away to the first 1,500 fans through the gate courtesy of Air Academy Federal Credit Union before the night is capped by an electric 80's themed fireworks show!

Security Service Field's Faith Night Concert featuring KJ52 and Nicole C. Mullen will take place following the game on Sunday, August 16 thanks to Colorado Christian University. The concert will begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game. The Andy Hollman Agency of American Family Insurance presents .50 cent hot dogs every Sunday throughout the season so don't be afraid to chow down on a light budget!

August 17 brings one of our final "Must-Win Monday" games back to the Springs. If the Sky Sox win this Monday contest with the Aces, tickets from the game will then be valid for any of the two remaining Monday games (8/31 and 9/7) scheduled for the 2015 season. The Sky Sox have won Monday games at Security Service Field on April 13, April 27 and June 1 this season. Don't forget to take advantage of this promotion if you have your ticket from any of these three games! Kids Eat Free Monday will be in full-effect to go along with the Sox must-win promotion thanks to Arc Thrift Stores.

$2 Tuesday is back on August 18 courtesy of South Colorado Springs Nissan. All in attendance will pay just $2 for upper reserved and box seat tickets, parking, and Coors and Coors Light Drafts for the entirety of the series-finale with Reno.

August 19 offers fans a chance to make up for lost games as Colorado Springs celebrates Unused Ticket Day! Sox fans will be allowed to redeem any unused tickets from the 2015 season at the box office for entry to the Wednesday evening contest against the Rainiers.  

Thursday, August 20 represents the return of Military Appreciation night and the final showing of the Sky Sox 2015 Lady Liberty Patriotic Jerseys. The Sox have gone 4-3 in seven games wearing these unique threads and will look to secure a winning record while wearing them for the final time before they are retired for good and auctioned off following last pitch. All proceeds from the post-game jersey auction will go to the Citizen Soldier Connection of Colorado Springs. Rocky Mountain Distributing adds to the night's novelty with $3 Craft Brew Thursday, featuring $3 Blue Moon Summer Honey!

90's One-Hit Wonder themed Friday Night fireworks are set to follow the contest on August 21, giving fans of all ages an excuse to shamelessly break out the Macarena while taking in a ballgame that will hopefully display a few more hits for the Sox.

The Sky Sox wrap up their eight-game home stretch on August 22 at 6:05 PM MDT. The first 1,000 fans through the gate that Saturday evening will receive Craig Counsell Bobbleheads courtesy of the Colorado National Guard. The former Sox standout and current Brewers manager's figure represents the new era of Colorado Springs baseball and will make an excellent addition to any baseball fan's collection!
