DeAngelis, Carone Recognized By SAL
The end-of-year awards were announced Tuesday by league president Eric Krupa.
"Both Jim and Lisa are very deserving of their respective awards and we couldn't be more proud," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "Both have proven to be indispensable parts to our organization and it's tremendous that they are being recognized for their hard work and dedication."
DeAngelis, who has been with the team since its 2001 inception, oversees all of the BlueClaws community relations efforts and is the Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities, which has again donated tens of thousands of dollars to area non-profits and fundraising events.
The Drew University graduate sits on the board of directors of 12 organizations and two Tourism Councils.
Carone, who began with the BlueClaws in 2006, has worked in the community relations and special events departments before becoming the Director of Inside Sales prior to the 2010 season.
She oversees the team's three separate internship programs and the sales efforts from those groups. The lifelong Jersey Shore resident and Wagner College graduate wins her first Female Executive of the Year Award.
The BlueClaws led the South Atlantic League in attendance for the 10th consecutive season and will try to win their second consecutive and third SAL title in the team's 10 seasons.
