Angels Outfielder Collin Cowgill to Join Bees

SALT LAKE CITY (Aug. 15, 2015) - Los Angeles Angels outfielder Collin Cowgill will join the Salt Lake Bees on a Major League rehabilitation assignment. Cowgill is scheduled to start in left field and hit second in the lineup for the Bees on Saturday night.

Cowgill appeared in 35 games with the Angels this season before being placed on the disabled list with a wrist injury on May 26. The veteran outfielder has appeared in seven total games for the Bees, hitting .481 with two home runs and seven RBIs. Cowgill was the Pacific Coast League Rookie of the Year in 2011 while with the Reno Aces.

The Bees begin an eight-game homestand Saturday night as they host the Omaha Storm Chasers and Iowa Cubs. Promotions during the homestand include Bumble's Birthday Party, Fan Appreciation Night and Superhero Night. Additional promotional and ticket information is available at www.slbees.com.
