Vermont Expos to host ESPN
Beginning on July 17th, ESPN will travel to all 50 states in 50 days and set up a mobile SportsCenter set at each location to do remotes during there nightly SportsCenters. These SportsCenters will include "event action, historical notes, factoids and vignettes about each state's contribution to the national sports scene, as well as "Best" lists compiled from ESPN research and ESPN.com voters, and several long-form features" according to an ESPN press release.
As part of the promotion, an ESPN SportsCenter anchor will be reporting live from each location. Rece Davis is the SportsCenter anchor that is scheduled to be in Vermont on August 16th.
The 50 states in 50 days will be in Boston, Massachusetts on July 17th when SportsCenter will broadcast from Fenway Park before and after the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox Sunday night game. The next night SportsCenter will be Manchester, New Hampshire for a Akron Areos at New Hampshire Fisher Cats Double-A Eastern League game.
The SportsCenter tour continues through all 50 states from July 17th-September 4th when it wraps up in Waukesha, Wisconsin at the Highland Games & Celtic Fling. SportsCenter will also broadcast from professional baseball parks in Durham, N.C., Atlanta, Ga., Wilmington Del., Salt Lake City, Utah and Chicago, Ill.
