10 Great Food Options at Fifth Third Field

What's more important than baseball at a baseball game? The food of course! Well maybe the food isn't the most important part of baseball, but it is a fundamental. That's why the Dayton Dragons offer much more than just peanuts and Cracker Jacks, next game be sure to try some of these diverse and delicious option.

1. ½lb. Gourmet Burger

At the Dragons Fire Grill fans are able to custom-make burgers. The Fire Grill has 6 style suggestions, such as the Bacon & Beer Cheese Burger and the Hawaii Five-O burger, but fans have the choice to customize their burger from bun to bun.

2. The Burrito Bowl

Stop by Salsa along the third base side for a Chipotle style Burrito Bowl. Customers are able to pick and choose from appetizing ingredients to add to their bowl and the large portions are served in re-sealable bowls.

3. Fried Oreos

This up and coming classic fair food has made its appearance at Fifth Third Field. Fried Oreos have a crisp pancake-like outside and the familiar chocolaty Oreo taste on the inside making them the ultimate fried snack. Fans can find Fried Oreos beyond right field at Heater's Treats.       

4. The Vegetarian Burger

One of the many vegetarian options, this classic black bean burger is a must try for vegetarians and meat lovers alike. The veggie burger is located in the concession stand behind section 114. Fans can spice up this burger with mustard, ketchup, relish, or onions at the condiment stand located next to the concession stand.

5. Tigers Blood Snow Cone

The Tigers Blood Snow Cone is located at any of the Kona Ice stands around the stadium and this delectable dessert isn't as gory as the name makes it sound. Tigers Blood is a mix of coconut and strawberry syrup. If fans don't care for Tigers Blood there is also the option for them to flavor their own cone at any of the stands.

6.  Donut Holes

Just along the first base side at Heater's Treats, freshly made donuts are waiting. Fans have a choice between powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar donut holes, but both are guaranteed to satisfy that sweet tooth.

7. Gluten-Free Philly Nachos

The Dragons provide many gluten friendly alternatives such as the Philly Nachos found at any of the Steakadelphia stands. The ingredients are warmed on the open grill and served sizzling hot.    

8. BBQ Ribs

Stop by Monument Ave BBQ for some mouthwatering BBQ ribs. The ribs are cooked in the Dragons new wood-burning smoker along with other types of meat-smoked sandwiches. Monument Ave BBQ and the smoker are nestled along the third base side behind section 115.

9. The Rotating Salad

The Dragons have a large array of healthy options during games, one such item is a salad. During every home stand there is a different type of salad available, such as the Chicken Caesar salad, the Santa Fe salad and the Deluxe Garden salad. Salads are located in the concession stands for sections 109 and 112.  

10. Footlong Bratwurst

Located behind section 106 is Smokie's Sausage Shack, home of the footlong bratwurst. With twelve inches of savory meat the footlong bratwurst is an appetite appeaser. Fans also can pick the footlong hot dog or one of the many types of sausages available.
