ABOUT MANNA FOOD PANTRIES:
Manna Food Pantries is a local, grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Their mission is to offer emergency food assistance, service the food-related needs of vulnerable populations, and engage the entire community in the fight against hunger. They are nonsectarian, community focused and volunteer supported. In giving their time, talents and financial resources, they believe that every person has a right to live free of hunger and to be treated with respect and dignity. They do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, orientation, age or infirmity in the operation of our services. Last year they provided food to 32,868 people in need through all of their pantries and programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Through their pantries, they offer an Emergency Food Assistance Program. This program provides a five day of supply of groceries to each person in need, a maximum of four times a year. Through their special programs, they further address the needs of vulnerable populations in the community, including their Monthly Food Service Program For Seniors, Westminster Village (a special partnership and extension of their Monthly Food Service Program For Seniors), and the Backpack4Teens program, a special partnership with the Santa Rosa County School District's Unaccompanied Youth Program.
