Harrisburg Senators Release their 2016 Schedule

The Harrisburg Senators today released their 2016 home schedule, which includes 71 dates beginning with their season and home opener on Thursday, April 14 vs. Reading.

Once again in 2016, the Senators will play at 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays, 1:30 p.m. on Sundays and at 7:00 p.m. for 36 of their 43 weeknight games. The other seven weeknight games begin at 6:30 p.m. in April and early May.

The schedule features six weekday games with two 10:30 a.m. games (5/4 & 5/26), three at 12:00 p.m. (4/20, 6/29, & 7/27), and one at 1:30 p.m. (September 5)

The Senators have 11 home Friday, Saturday and Sunday games, and are home on July 4 and Labor Day. They open the season on the road on April 7 at Altoona and finish the season at home with a four-game series against Hartford.

The Senators play 37 home games within their division in 2016 and 34 home games against the Eastern Division. Senators' fans will see both Hartford and Akron the most at Metro Bank Park in 2016 with both teams making eleven appearances. Rounding out divisional opponents at home is Bowie nine times, Erie seven times, Altoona six times and Richmond four times.

Akron, Bowie and Hartford all make three appearances at Metro Bank Park in 2016 with Altoona, Erie, New Hampshire and Reading all coming in twice. Divisional rival, the Richmond Flying Squirrels, only come to Metro Bank Park once in 2016.
