KC Announces 2007 Spring Training Schedule
Kansas City's 31-game Spring Training schedule features 14 home games at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Ariz. The club will also face the Texas Rangers as the visiting team in two additional games at the facility.
The 2007 slate also features consecutive Saturday home games against the Chicago Cubs on March 10 and the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 17. The Royals will also play three night games, hosting Los Angeles on March 9 and the Oakland A's on March 21 while traveling to Peoria to play the San Diego Padres on March 26. All night games will begin at 8:05 p.m. (Central Time).
The Royals will play at least one home and one road game against each of the other 11 teams in the Cactus League. In addition to the Cubs, Diamondbacks, Angels, A's and Padres, the Royals will also host the Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers at Surprise Stadium.
Continuing the tradition, the Royals will conclude their 2007 Spring Training schedule by traveling to Houston to face the Astros in two exhibition games at Minute Maid Park on March 30 and 31. The two games will be played at 7:05 p.m. and 1:05 p.m. (Central Time), respectively. The Royals will have an off day Sunday, April 1 before hosting the Boston Red Sox on Opening Day, Monday, April 2.
Spring Training season tickets will be available by mail and phone order through the Surprise Stadium Box Office beginning Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at 9 a.m. Several season tickets package options are available, including a 14-game Royals package, a 7-game Royals package or a 28-game Surprise Stadium package for all Royals/Rangers home game.

Ticket prices for the 2007 Spring Training season are: $20 for lower dugout seats, $18 for upper dugout seats, $15 for infield seats, $11 for plaza seats and $6 for lawn seating. As in 2006, parking for all Surprise Stadium Spring Training games will be free.
Pitchers and catchers will report to Surprise on Friday, Feb. 16. Workouts for pitchers begin the following day, Saturday, Feb. 17. The remainder of the squad will report on Wednesday, Feb. 21 and begin workouts for the 2007 campaign on Thursday, Feb. 22.
