Backpack Giveaway & Fireworks To Close Out Season
The Hillcats will wrap up the regular season with their final homestand beginning Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30pm. Highlights will include Rivalry Week, Fan Appreciation and Fireworks! Plus, Outdoors Night and a backpack giveaway are also on the slate.
The Salem Red Sox will come to town for the final time for a three game series starting on Tuesday, September 1st at 6:30pm with the gates opening at 5:30pm. It's a 'Cats with a Cause Night presented by ESPN Radio 93.3 FM where Lynchburg Community Action Group (Lyn CAG) will be raising awareness for their organization. Members of Southpaw's Kids Club presented by Lynchburg Dental Center will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, chips & a drink and can Run the Bases after the game! Tuesdays are also Faith Nights presented by UMFS. Advanced tickets are just $4 each for church groups of 10 or more.
The series with the Red Sox will continue on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30pm. The gates will open at 5:30pm for Virginia Tech Night presented by ESPN Radio 93.3 FM. Fans can wear Hokie apparel for $5 admission!
The last game of the series with Salem will be on Thursday, September 3rd at 6:30pm. The gates will open at 5:30pm for our Theme Thursday-Outdoors Night presented by Hunters for the Hungry! Wear camouflage apparel for $5 admission and participate in a raffle for Outdoors Night prizes during the game, with the proceeds benefiting Hunters for the Hungry. That evening is UVA Night presented by 97.9 FM The Planet so fans can also wear Cavalier apparel for $5 admission! It's also a Thursday Cheers with $2 drink specials through the 7th inning presented by Miller Lite, Yuengling & 97.9 FM The Planet.
The final series of the regular season will begin on Friday, September 4th at 6:30pm when the Carolina Mudcats come to Lynchburg. The gates will open at 5:30pm and the first 500 kids 14 and under will receive a free Hillcats backpack courtesy of Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham and WJJS! That evening is also Liberty University Night so show your LU student, faculty or staff ID at the box office for $2 admission. Saturday, September 5th is a 6:30pm start time. The gates will open at 5:30pm and be sure to stick around after the game for a Fireworks Show presented by RidgeView Dermatology! It's also Fan Appreciation Night so every fan that enters the gates will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win autographed memorabilia and other prizes.
The series with the Mudcats will continue on Sunday, September 6th at 2:00pm. The gates will open at 1pm for the conclusion of Rivalry week with Randolph College Night. Wear bring your Randolph College student, faculty or staff ID or wear WildCat apparel for $3 admission! Virginia529 Smart Savers members can show their membership card at the box office for free admission to all Sunday home games. Families can also purchase 4 for $40 Family Four Packs on Sundays which include four GA tickets and four hot dog or cheeseburger combo meals, presented by ABC 13! Plus, after the game, kids 14 and under can Run the Bases presented by Uncle Bob's Self Storage and families can play catch on the field!
The last game of the regular season is on Monday, September 17th at a special 2:00pm start time for Labor Day. The gates will open at 1:00pm for a BOGO Monday presented by ABC 13. GA Tickets will be buy one, get one free, as well as select concession items through the 7th inning!
