Intimidators to honor Little League World Series champions from Rowan on Friday

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Aug. 25, 2015) - The Champs are here!

On Friday, August 28, the Kannapolis Intimidators are hosting a special pre-game ceremony to recognize the 2015 Little League World Series softball champions from Rowan Little League. The team will be available for pictures and autographs from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. before heading down to the field to be recognized at 6:45 p.m. The girls will throw out ceremonial first pitches before the Intimidators take the field against the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7:05 p.m. Rowan Little League's team of 11- and 12-year-old girls defeated a squad from Rhode Island last week in Portland to capture the title.

About the Intimidators

The Intimidators are currently playing their 21st season of professional baseball in Kannapolis and 15th season as a Chicago White Sox affiliate. Since the team's inception in 1995, a total of 85 players have gone from Kannapolis to the Major Leagues. The team plays at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System just off I-85, Exit 63 in Kannapolis. Single-game tickets start at only $5.
