Kenny Loggins and Boston Pops Shine at McCoy

September 10, 2010

The Boston Pops along with thousands of spectators took over McCoy Stadium on a beautiful autumn night. Gospel Vocalist, Renese King started off the show with a dazzling rendition of the National Anthem. Keith Lockhart and The Boston Pops followed with classics such as "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," "Sweet Caroline," and music from "The Natural."

Grammy Award Winner Kenny Loggins hasn't had a lot of experience singing with orchestras, but when he took the stage with the Boston Pops Friday at McCoy Stadium, he didn't miss a beat.

Loggins started off with one his greatest hits, "Conviction of the Heart," and then surprised everyone with a big band rendition of "Time After Time." He then followed up with "It's Alright," the theme song from the movie Caddyshack, along with a fabulous performance of his smash hit "Footloose," which featured local dancers who danced in the aisles.
