Bulls Open Six-Game Homestand Tonight
The Durham Bulls (66-66) open up a six-game homestand with the first of four games against the Charlotte Knights tonight at 7:05. Tonight's game features the Instagrammys and $1 Concessions presented by Brightleaf Hot Dogs.
Durham, which enters tonight's game on a season-high seven-game winning streak, sends LHP Scott Diamond (10-5, 3.75) to the hill. The veteran will be making his fifth start against Charlotte this season, going 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA over his first four starts. Of those outings, he's allowed one earned run or fewer on three occasions.
On the bump for Charlotte is RHP Kyle Drabek (7-8, 3.36), who is 2-3 over his last six starts. In that span the 27-year-old has allowed three earned runs or more four times, while allowing 13 earned runs over his last three starts. This season he's held batters to a .239 average, the fourth-lowest of any starter in the IL.
