Final home stand features fireworks, jersey silent auction, football giveaways & more

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Sept. 1, 2015) -- The final home stand of the Intimidators' 2015 season opens on Thursday as Kannapolis faces the West Virginia Power in a five-game series to wrap up the 21st season of baseball in our community. Fans will be treated to giveaways, fireworks, a jersey silent auction, and an all-you-can-eat picnic at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System.

Thursday is our annual Kickoff to Football Season, and fans will have the opportunity to enter to win tickets to college football games in the Carolinas. Plus the Intimidators will have prizes and giveaways from the Charlotte 49ers, Davidson, ECU, App State, Catawba, and more. Thursday's game is also Thirsty Thursday, featuring discounted drinks all game long and post-game Launch-A-Ball presented by Dick's Sporting Goods. Deals include $16 oz. draft beers only $1.50, 32 oz. draft beers only $3.00, and bottles of soda and water only $2.00 throughout the game.

Kannapolis is home to the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, and we are celebrating their upcoming induction ceremony with a special night at the ballpark. Friday night also features drink specials, select 16 oz. Left Field Lager draft beers for only $2.00. Every Friday this season, fans can purchase a $5 wristband in the team store to support the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation and receive a voucher good for a free Pepsi product at any ballpark concessions stand (a $3 value).

The Intimidators final fireworks show of the season is Saturday, Sept. 5, presented by Carolinas HealthCare System. Saturday's game is also Salisbury Night at the ballpark.

As part of Fan Appreciation Day, the Intimidators are hosting a special "Jerseys Off Our Backs" silent auction, and fans will have the opportunity to bid on game-worn uniforms starting when gates open and running until the seventh inning. Winning bidders will have the opportunity to go down to the field after the game to receive an alternate black uniform from an Intimidators player. Plus every Sunday is Kids Day presented by Cornerstone Church featuring pre-game player autographs (from 4:20 p.m. to 4:40 p.m.) and post-game kids run the bases.
