BlueClaws to Honor Jackson Little Leaguers on Saturday

Team reached the Mid-Atlantic Regional Final after winning New Jersey state championship

LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Jackson Little League team that won the New Jersey State Little League Championship will be honored at FirstEnergy Park in a pre-game ceremony on Saturday prior to the BlueClaws 7:05 pm game against Delmarva.

The Jackson Little Leaguers won the New Jersey State Championship in Hammonton, defeating Somerset Hills. They then went to the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bristol, Connecticut, where they reached the final before losing to Red Land Little League (Pennsylvania).

"We are very excited to bring out the youngsters from Jackson Little League to our game on Saturday," said Chris Tafrow, BlueClaws Senior VP of Business Operations. "They had a tremendous run to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Final and caputred the attention of everyone at the Jersey Shore."

Gates on Saturday open at 3:30 pm as part of the BlueClaws Extravaganza of Fun which includes free inflatable rides, free cotton candy and free water ice. There will be live music from Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns from 4 pm - 6:45 pm and dollar beer from 6 pm until the end of the seventh inning. The ceremony will take place near the start of the BlueClaws game and Jackson Little Leaguers will be running out to the field with BlueClaws players before the 7:05 pm game.
