Rome collecting Coats for Christmas

November 29, 2006
ROME, Ga. -- The second annual Coats for Christmas campaign is now under way, continuing until Dec. 18. The Braves, South 107 and Rome Cleaners are working together to ensure that no one goes cold this winter.

Coats will be collected at State Mutual Stadium and distributed to those in need throughout Rome/Floyd County.

"The Braves are excited to have the opportunity to help out during the winter months," says Rome Braves General Manager Michael Dunn. "We hope that everyone will help us collect as many coats as possible."

Those wishing to donate winter coats are asked to drop them off at State Mutual Stadium Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. In addition, the Braves will be accepting coats on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
