Drew Jackson named NWL MVP

Bishop named Post-Season All-Star, Mummau is Manager of the Year
September 5, 2015

From "M-V-P" chants to twitter hashtags, AquaSox fans have known it for most of the season, and now so does the rest of the league.

Everett shortstop Drew Jackson was named the Northwest League's Most Valuable Player for the 2015 season on Saturday, Sept. 5, his fourth league award this season. Jackson also  won a Player of the Month award for August, and two Player of the Week awards.

AquaSox center fielder Braden Bishop was also named a Post-Season All-Star, and manager Rob Mummau won his second Manager of the Year award.

Jackson hit .362 with 47 steals, 64 runs scored and a .437 OBP, all league-high totals.

Bishop was a third-round pick in the 2015 MLB Draft by the Mariners. He hit .319 this season, the third-best mark in the league, and only committed two errors in center field.

Mummau guided the AquaSox to a post-season berth, which he also accomplished in 2012 and 2013 with the AquaSox. He managed the Pulaski Mariners in 2014 before returning to the helm of the AquaSox this season.

Jackson joins Dave Nash (1986), Robert Zachmann (1996), Jamal Strong (2000), Ismael Castsro (2002) and Patrick Kivlehan (2012) as MVP winners in Everett. Mummau is the only Everett manager to have won the Manager of the Year award, accomplishing the feat twice.
