Tides announce 2016 schedule and game times
The Norfolk Tides have announced their 2016 schedule and home game times. The 2016 campaign will begin on Thursday, April 7 with a 7:05 contest against the Gwinnett Braves.
The 2016 schedule will be Norfolk's 48th season in the International League and the 24th year of baseball at Harbor Park. The schedule features 22 home games on either Friday or Saturday night as well as nine midweek afternoon contests. The Tides will announce specific gameday promotions and events throughout the offseason.
Norfolk will once again play a 144-game schedule, with the regular season concluding on Labor Day, September 5.
Norfolk, which won the International League South Division this year, opens up its 2015 postseason tonight at Harbor Park with a 6:35 game vs. the Columbus Clippers. The Tides then host the Clippers again at 6:35 on Thursday before traveling to Columbus for games 3-5 (if necessary) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
