CURVE, Pa. - The Altoona Curve were shut out by the Bowie Baysox, 7-0, on Thursday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Game Two of the Western Division Series, evening the playoff set at 1-1.

After overcoming a seven-run deficit in a win in Game 1, The Curve left eight men on base and were 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position on Thursday.

Mike Yastrzemski put the Baysox on the board in the first inning with a solo home run against Curve starter Tyler Eppler (Loss, 0-1).

Bowie extended its lead in the fifth with an RBI single by Ozzie Martinez. Two batters later, Yastrzemski brought across a run with a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 3-0.

The Baysox added a run in the eighth with a run-scoring single by Quincy Latimore and plated three more runs in the ninth against Curve reliever Clario Perez to pull away.

Eppler allowed three runs on six hits over six innings and struck out two. Felipe Gonzalez surrendered one run over two innings in his Altoona debut.

Bowie starter Nick Additon (Win, 1-0) scattered six hits over six scoreless innings while striking out four.

Max Moroff finished 2-for-4 with a double in the game. The Curve left at least one runner on base in each of the first seven innings.

During the regular season, the Curve were only shut out five times, the fewest in the Eastern League.

Altoona will travel to Bowie to play Game 3 of the best-of-five set on Friday night at Prince George's Stadium. Southpaw Steven Brault (9-3, 2.00) will start on the mound for the Curve. Lefty Chris Lee (4-2, 3.08) is on the hill for the Baysox. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
