Houser gets the call, 39th former 'Cat to MLB
TROY, NY -- Adrian Houser was promoted by the Milwaukee Brewers from Double-A to the Major League roster on Tuesday, making him the 39th former ValleyCat to go from "The Joe" to "The Show."
Houser is the fifth former 'Cat to make the jump to the big leagues this season, following the promotions of Preston Tucker, Michael Feliz, Vince Velasquez, and Matt Duffy.

Acquired by the Brewers in the July trade with the Astros for Carlos Gomez, Houser went 4-1 with a 2.92 ERA over seven starts with Double-A Biloxi. Prior to being traded, Houser began the season in advanced Class-A Lancaster, making the jump to Double-A Corpus Christi by the end of June.
Houser was selected by the Houston Astros in the second round of the 2011 MLB First Year Player Draft out of Locust Grove High School in Oklahoma, and split his first professional season between the Gulf Coast Astros and Greeneville Astros of the Appalachian League.
After spending the entire 2012 season with Greeneville, Houser joined Tri-City for the 2013 campaign, where he posted a 3.42 ERA in 50 innings pitched.
