Jessica Kauffman Selected as the Eastern League Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year
The Harrisburg Senators are pleased to announce that Jessica Kauffman has been selected as the Eastern League of Professional Baseball's nominee for the Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year Award. Jessica is a Senior Account Executive for the Senators.
The Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year Award is presented annually to one woman who has made an outstanding contribution to her club, league or to baseball. The Rawlings Woman Executive of the Year for all of professional baseball will be selected from among the league nominees in Major League and Minor League Baseball. The award will be presented in December at the 2015 Baseball Winter Meetings in Nashville, Tennessee.
Jessica has been an integral member of the Senators front office staff since joining the team in 2009. She is the main force behind the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders camp, the Senators baseball camp, and this past season she was the catalyst in having the Red Land Little League U.S. Championship team honored at Metro Bank Park. Jessica also coordinates the majority of the Senators fundraising efforts with local schools and youth sports organizations.
Jessica is also heavily involved in the community as she's on the Event Leadership Team for the Relay for Life of Capital City and she's the Logistics Co-Chair for the Making Strides Against Break Cancer Walk. She has been a volunteer for the past six years.
"I am so proud Jess has been recognized by the Eastern League," said Senators owner Mark Butler. "She has been a wonderful example of excellence in MiLB management. Her commitment, passion and contributions to the Harrisburg Senators are a large part of our breaking an all-time attendance record this season! We are lucky to have her on our own team!"
"Jess is such an integral part of our success," said Senators president Kevin Kulp. "She contributes in so many ways. I'm very happy that the Eastern League has recognized her accomplishments in the industry."
Jessica is from Waynesboro, PA. She graduated from Shepherd University with a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a Concentration in Sports Management and Sports Marketing. She and her fiancé, Ben Moyer, are getting married this Saturday, October 3.
