October 7, 2015

SALEM, Va. - The Salem Red Sox are excited to announce the first annual Trick-or-Treat event at LewisGale Field on Saturday, October 24, presented by MedExpress. The free event will begin at 4 p.m. and is intended for children to come to a safe environment, grab some halloween candy and have an evening full of fun.

The main event will take place from 4-6 p.m. with multiple booths handing out halloween candy. There will also be various attractions including all-you-can-play bounce houses for $5, mascot appearances, face painting, a costume contest, and much more. The winner of the costume contest will take home a Salem Red Sox prize pack. Also, starting at 6 p.m., Hotel Transylvania will be played on the stadium's videoboard.

Additionally, prior to the event, children can download a template for a Halloween coloring contest. The template can be found below or on our Salem Red Sox Facebook page. Once downloaded, kids can color in the template and then send the completed picture via e-mail to sbarney@salemsox.com, by mail to 1004 Texas St., Salem, VA 24153 or by dropping it off at the front office by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21. All participants will have their picture showcased on the videoboard during the event. The winner, who must be present to win, will be announced prior to the movie at 6 p.m. and win a 2016 Kid's Club package.

Every child that attends will receive one free box seat ticket voucher, good for a 2016 Salem Red Sox game. In addition, the first 100 children will receive a free hot dog. Light concessions will be available for purchase throughout the event.
