It's time once again to tap into a beer lover's winter paradise! The second annual Toledo Walleye Winter Brewfest is set for Saturday, January 9 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Mud Hens ballpark, under cover on the main concourse. Heaters will be provided for added comfort. 

Whether you're a beer beginner or an experienced beer tasting enthusiast, you'll get to choose samples from over 250 craft beers and 50 breweries, while enjoying live music and having fun all around the main concourse of the ballpark.

 

WINTERFEST

The Winter Brewfest is just one of the many events taking place during Winterfest. Although the 2015-16 Winterfest will not include an outdoor ice rink like last year, the annual wintertime community festival will again feature many family fun events and activities in December 2015 and January 2016. General admission Winter Brewfest tickets

• $35 if purchased in advanced; $45 the day of the event
• Includes 15 taste tickets, each good for a 3-ounce beer sample
• Souvenir beer sampling cup (Bring a lanyard, you don't want to lose your cup!)
• Additional taste tickets and food will be available for purchase on the main concourse
• Gates open at 5 p.m. for general admission ticket holders. The Brewfest party ends at 9 p.m.
• General admission designated driver tickets available for $25

VIP Winter Brewfest tickets

• $55
• VIP ticket holders enjoy early entry at 4 p.m. (Enter through the suite level doors at Washington and Huron)
• Includes 20 taste tickets and exclusive beer samplings from 4 to 6 p.m. in the club level of the ballpark
• Delicious all-you-can-eat buffet
• General admission designated driver tickets available for $35

BREWFEST TIPS

Here are some friendly tips to make sure that you have a fun AND safe evening at Fifth Third Field:

• Wear a costume or bring a group dressed in a themed costume. This is a great opportunity to make your mark on the evening!
• Arrive early and bring your ID; they will be checked at the home plate gate entrance. Gates open at 4 p.m. for VIP ticket holders and 5 p.m. for general admission ticket holders.
• Drink plenty of water! Water stations will be located on both the main concourse and club levels and bottled water will also be available for purchase.
• Don't forget to eat! There will be plenty of delicious food available for purchase on the main concourse as well as catering for VIP ticket holders on the club level.
• Try one style of beer from as many breweries as possible! You might just stumble upon your next favorite beer!
• Take plenty of photos and share them!
• Bring a lanyard or some string to keep track of your beer sampling cup, you don't want to lose that!
• Please drink responsibly and bring a designated driver.

Items not allowed in include:

• Backpacks
• Bottles
• Cans
• Outside food (with the exception of pretzel necklaces)
