The K-Tribe's Joe Gardner is a nominee for Advanced Class A Starter of the Year. Voting for the award will end Monday, October 11. Even the most biased political pundits could not find a hole in Joe's body of work for the 2010 season. Gardner was a Carolina League end of season All-Star, leading the league in wins (12) and finishing with the second best ERA (2.65). The California native also limited opponents to a .199 batting average, the lowest in the Carolina League. Joe struck out 104 batters in 122.1 innings, the third best strike out/innings pitched ratio among CL starters. Make your vote count!
