ValleyCats kick off Championship Trophy Tour at Recovery Sports Grill

Fans will have the chance to win a 2010 Championship Ring

TROY, NY- On Tuesday, October 19th from 6pm-8pm the Tri-City ValleyCats Championship Trophy will be on display at the Recovery Sports Grill located at 235 Hoosick Street in Troy. Fans will be able to take their picture with the trophy while enjoying Major League Baseball playoff action. Fans will also have the chance to register and win an authentic ValleyCats championship ring. 'Cats mascots SouthPaw and Rowdy will be on hand, there will be merchandise and memorabilia raffles throughout the night and the Recovery Sports Grill will feature a happy hour special.

The next stop on the ValleyCats Championship Trophy Tour will be on November 4th at the Holiday Inn Express in Latham during the National Kidney Foundation of Northeast New York's Chili Challenge. 2010 was a historic season for the Tri-City ValleyCats organization, winning their first New York-Penn League Championship and setting numerous attendance records. The ValleyCats attracted 155,135 total fans to "The Joe" setting the single-season attendance record for the 7th-consecutive year. They also set a record in averaging 4,314 fans per game, good for 59th out of 160 Minor League Baseball teams. The single-game attendance record was also broken on July 11th when 7,005 fans showed up for Time Warner Cable Appreciation Night.
