Public Address Announcer Stu Walker Passes Away

Long-time Albuquerque Isotopes public address announcer Stu Walker passed from cancer Monday, November 2. Stu had served as the Isotopes PA announcer since the team's inaugural season in 2003. He was 61.

"It's a very sad day for the Isotopes family," General Manager John Traub said. "Stu was an exceptional man and a loyal employee. He and his voice will be missed around the ballpark."

Stu was a teacher at Manzano High School in Albuquerque. He also handled PA duties for numerous high school events around the city as well as for the New Mexico Lobos.
