FREDERICK, Md. -The Frederick Keys are pleased to announce that Donnie Hart has been selected to play in the Arizona Fall League's Fall Stars Game. Promoted to the Carolina League in mid-June, Hart went 5-1 in 27 games to go with a 1.03 ERA. Opponents hit just .208 against him. Moved up to the Baysox on September 3, the southpaw was a member of the Baysox Eastern League championship team.
One of Hart's teammates in Bowie as well as on the Javelinas, Yastrzemski, 25, is hitting .125 (4-for-32) with a home run and five RBIs in 10 AFL games. Spending all of his regular season at Double-A, the former Key batted .246 with six home runs and 59 RBIs in 128 contests, but turned things on during Bowie's championship run. In nine games, Yastrzemski led his team with a .406 average to go with two homers and eight RBIs as well as nine runs scored. During the playoffs he posted a 1.359 OPS and a .452 on-base percentage.
Making a quick cameo with the Keys in 2014, the former Vanderbilt Commodore batted .312 with a home run and 19 RBIs in 23 games. The highlight of his Keys tenure came on July 5 when he hit for the cycle against Lynchburg. Yastrzemski is the grandson of Red Sox great, and MLB Hall-of-Famer, Carl Yastrzemski.
